Street Photography

Unforgiving signals of the sidewalk

La Strada explores public spaces as a stage for social signaling and performance. These photographs are a blink between long looks at how belonging is displayed, asserted, and contested through our shared culture.

Rather than treating the street as a backdrop for balletic observations, the work approaches public spaces as arenas of performative identity. Moving beyond the romanticized traditions of graceful timing and visual improvisation, the photographs examine how dress, rituals, and body language collide in a modern-day naufragium—revealing the unstable negotiations of contemporary life.

These photographs are not interested in transitional choreography. They embrace the hardened spectacle of day-to-day life through which people announce who they are—or who they want others to believe they are.
