NY Botanical Garden Wedding Photography

A socially distanced wedding of two COVID nurses shot by a NY Botanical Garden Wedding Photographer. These two New York nurses are hometown heroes from the big apple. Not only did they work in a COVID unit in a hospital during the height of the pandemic, they did so while postponing their own wedding. Selfless, remarkable and joyful describes this couple.

Her review says it all: “Angela is magical! I have never felt more at ease being photographed. From my wedding dress fittings to the day of, beginning to end Angela was marvelous to work with. I felt comfortable - so did my wedding guests! My bridal party also felt special. The process was amazing. I am absolutely in love with the photos and in awe with how natural they are sprinkled with honestly and humor. Looking at my photos made me relive my wedding day in a way that far outweighs any video recording could achieve. The expertise, care and attention to detail begins immediately. My wedding planning occurred during the height of COVID-19 restrictions. I could only bring one other person to my wedding dress fittings and will never regret my decision asking Angela if she could photograph the sessions. Everyone at the boutique asked me if she was family that’s how personal and generous her presence is. When I saw the photos from my first fitting and shared them with my mom I knew I made the right choice. The narrative from the fitting is priceless and made me feel like I wasn't getting married during COVID-19. The wedding dress fitting and getting dressed with my bridesmaids was my absolute favorite part - it felt like Angela was one of us and she totally was team bride! I could go on and on however the photos speak volumes. I do highly recommend her and am thrilled with the beauty I can look at to remind me of my special day. Thank you so very much!!”

Chelsea Piers Wedding Photography

The couple’s guests enjoyed a tear-jerker of a ceremony at Chelsea Piers Sunset Terrace overlooking the Hudson river. They wrote their own vows. Cait’s brother presided. He was ordained just so he could marry his sister and her sweetie. It was a real family affair. Right after the I-do’s, the couple went right into hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails. Then, the night flowed into a seated dinner and dancing. Even the littlest kids had some sweet moves on the dance floor.

New York Athletic Club Wedding

It seems as though every detail of this classic wedding whispered “Old, New, York.” Steve and Courtney chose a blend of real film wedding photography mixed with DSLR. The decor of the event was in keeping with the 1920’s because the club itself was built in the 1920’s. So, Courtney’s Pronovias wedding dress had a Gatsby feel. And Steve was a stunner in a classic tux. The bridesmaids floated through the evening in pale peach gowns with gold accents. The flowers were arranged in tall vases with structured white orchids and giant palm fronds. These fresh, young details offset the sumptuous wood and marble carvings and historic design of the venerable NY Athletic Club.

Since Courtney's family are lifelong members of the NY Athletic Club, it was the natural place for she and Steve to tie the knot.  Both of these film professionals met at work (set up by Steve's boss) and it was a bold statement for them not to have a cinematographer covering the event, so it made the photography all that more important. From the carved moldings, to the Central Park location, to the mini Junior's cheesecakes offered as wedding favors, every little detail about this wedding subtly whispered "Old, New, York." as no other details could.

Hamptons Wedding Photography

Solé East Montauk

Montauk has truly rugged beauty. This city couple had an outdoor ceremony on a carpet of rose petals followed by a tented dinner. A late summer evening under the stars was the perfect start to their life together. Ring by Kwiat. Ombre dress by Mark Ingram Atelier. This couple chose a blend of real film wedding photography mixed with DSLR. Angela usually shoots her film packages with a succession of Leicas and old-school Nikon F cameras. These remarkable tools allow us to offer the most elevated imagery possible.

Our groom’s review says it all: “Angela is an amazing photographer. Artistic and unique feel for subject and place. She photographed our wedding and our family photo shoot as well. If you want timeless photographs of your event with a caring and attentive professional, she really is the best. Couldn't recommend her more highly!”

Bethesda Terrace Wedding Photography

This couple eloped with just five family members to their Bethesda Terrace wedding. They atarted at the London Hotel for getting ready and first looks, fo followed by a cab ride then a walk to Bethesda Terrace. This area of the park boasts an adjoining fountain called the Angel of the Waters. After their ceremony we took a taxi downtown for some ice cream and graffiti photos. Their New York elopement dream came true.

City Hall NYC Wedding Photography

A spring City Hall Wedding. These two met on an app. But little did they know they had a strong connection already. His brother went to grad school with her! How on earth did that happen? Well, all that matters is that it did. Three years later they walked the walk and talked the talk all the way to a spring day at City Hall. Can you use flash in city hall marriage bureau nyc? Scroll to see. Afterwards, we had a stroll and a taxi ride together for photos. Following this was champagne at an osteria. The wedding feast was at Tamarind. Oh, and that cake. Bless them for that cake and masala chai for all (last photo ☕️). Since this day was family only, they held a larger, subsequent party at the Panorama Room in NYC.

The Foundry Wedding Photography

I met Nathaniel when he was a groomsman in another very special wedding I shot. He had asked my couple for my contact info because Nathaniel and his partner were also after documentary-style photography. Nathaniel, himself a journalist, actually proposed to Dom in an article he wrote on marriage rights for the Los Angeles Times. A photo of the framed article is included in the below portfolio. Nestled in among the words he wrote was a heartfelt desire to ask his partner to marry him. And boy, did they! In true New York fashion and to accommodate their large families, they immediately settled on the urban-industrial aesthetic of The Foundry in Long Island City. Their love story spans years of missed opportunities, wrong timing and even a move to Africa, but the two ultimately get their happily ever after. Gorgeous floral design, cake by The Chocolate Room and wedding bands made by a friend are the sweet details which made this event a day to remember.
