We Are Gathered Here

My new book, We Are Gathered Here, is coming out this month with L’Artiere Edizioni.

It has been a long time in the making, which is true of most things I care about. The work was made over years, in different places and circumstances, and eventually had to become a book—a sequence, a rhythm, something that could hold together beyond the individual pictures. It is my loveletter to relationships, and to the special energy of the collective. Of people gathering for a certain reason and at a certain time. It is something that cannot be repeated, and for that I am lucky to have been able to shoot it.

Seeing the proofs was strange in the best possible way. Photographs that had existed on screens, contact sheets, work prints, and hard drives were suddenly objects. Pages. A thing I could hold.

We Are Gathered Here will be released in conjunction with Paris Photo 2026. I’ll be sharing more about the book as it makes its way into the world.

For now, I’m just glad it exists.
