All Dogs

ALL DOGS

I often go to the park on Sundays. I consider it my mental health day. I spend as many hours as I can photographing people who look like their dogs. There is no deep, artistic meaning to it. I do it because it’s fun. I simply enjoy it. I like getting to know my neighbors. Seeing the dogs play or on long walks is singularly joyful. Yes, true, some people are weird, and therefore they have weird dogs. The dog is simply the mirror of their human companion.

I notice more and more, that our two species, canine and great ape, have evolved to companion together. Dogs and people get closer and closer as we continue our evolutionary journey. I suppose if there is any deep meaning to these pictures that would be it, a Darwinian relationship in motion. Here we are, dog and man, trudging the road of happy destiny together. I hope you enjoy the work.
